Scottsdale, AZ, October 26, 2022— “There’s no time to waste, we must get started right away! A new fitness and wellness program is starting at Scottsdale Golf Club,” exclaims Tony Megna the Club’s new Director of Fitness and Wellness.

Dr. Tony Megna joins Scottsdale Golf Club from Milwaukee, WI. He holds four degrees from university and graduate colleges including a doctorate in Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Health and Science. His alma mater is the University of Wisconsin. Tony specializes in sports medicine, injury rehabilitation, performance training, and nutrition. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has been coaching and designing training programs for athletes since 2011.

Tony is highly committed to bringing the most advanced techniques to The Country Club Scottsdale members by empowering their bodies through movement, fitness, and integrative medicine which can be combined to promote sustained wellness. His treatment philosophy is rooted in the ancient precept of preserving health and prolonging life. He encourages his patients at Country Club Scottsdale to stay curious about the world and be their best selves. Tony is excited to join the Country Club at DC Ranch where his goal is to help the community thrive in all aspects of their health and wellness goals. His goal is to teach members how to be fit and healthy for life, focusing on getting members, nutritious, strong, and pain-free.

In order to get the Country Club Scottsdale membership on board, he starts with the complete 5-Star 90-day program is designed to teach members step-by-step the fundamentals of exercise, diet, body maintenance, yoga, and meditation all alongside receiving advanced therapeutic and restorative bodywork therapies like massage, stretching, acupuncture, and, cupping which can all be used to improve blood circulation, resolve pain, optimize the nervous system, accelerate recovery, reduce inflammation, and help you sleep better! The question is really, “how healthy do you want to be?”

Tony was a division I linebacker and two-time letter winner for the Wisconsin Badger football team from 2007-2011. He started his career in sports performance when he was done playing football and was hired as a strength and conditioning coach where he helped train the 2011 Rose Bowl team. After his undergraduate studies, he went on to graduate school to study acupuncture and Chinese Medicine specifically for the purpose of learning how to heal traumatic injuries from contact sports. Tony has traveled the world shaping his philosophy of maximizing health which has been influenced by his education and experience with many coaches, mentors and teachers who have all inspired him to help others in their quest for ideal health.

In 2016, Tony opened a private acupuncture clinic in Wisconsin where he used the combination of acupuncture, cupping, exercise rehabilitation, nutrition, and applied kinesiology to help his patients. In 2021 he was appointed as the Clinic Director at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine where he lectured and taught graduate students acupuncture, manual orthopedics, philosophy, and Chinese Medicine. He was also a part-time acupuncturist at Aurora Medical Hospital’s Integrated Medicine department where he worked alongside the medical teams in the neurology, oncology, and physical therapy departments.

His team of fitness professionals at The Country Club at DC Ranch are here to guide, but in the end, it’s ultimately up to the member to take the reins of their own health. We want the Country Club at DC Ranch community to thrive!

Tony was a four-sport athlete, an avid chess player, and in his free time enjoys traveling, writing, and snowboarding with his wife Adisa.
