Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Intensive Outpatient Program

In order to provide additional structure and support for clients stepping down from our PHP and residential programs, Sagebrush offers three adult intensive outpatient therapy programs: three mornings a week, three evenings a week, or five days a week. These programs allow clients to receive exceptional treatment while maintaining their work, school and family commitments while learning to live a sober and healthy lifestyle. The programs are facilitated in a group format, led by our addiction and therapy specialists to overcome barriers to recovery.

Is an Intensive Outpatient Program What I Need?

With so many levels of care available during treatment, it can be difficult to determine a starting point. An intensive outpatient program can work as either a starting point or a stepping stone during an extensive program. It tends to work as a starting point for individuals who aren’t yet struggling with a serious addiction. Their addiction is short-lived and the substance isn’t as dangerous as others. An IOP gives them the flexibility they need to receive treatment while meeting their other responsibilities.

For clients with a longer and more serious addiction, an IOP tends to be one of the many levels of care they go through during treatment. It often occurs after their residential treatment. Instead of sending them back home immediately after residential treatment, an IOP gives them more support.
