Hope Spring Launches Campaign to Provide Clean Drinking Water to Communities in Africa
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONDON, UK, 27 February 2023 – Hope Spring, a leading African water charity, is committed to providing access to clean water to communities in Africa where more than 300 million people do not have access to safe drinking water. With the support of donors and partners, the charity has been able to complete two projects in Sierra Leone including the Mano Gieha Community Borehole Project and the Kpandabu Village Borehole Initiative. Both projects have significantly improved access to clean water in the affected communities enabling thousands of people to have access to a better quality of life they deserve.
Hope Spring is also working on two ongoing projects that will help provide access to more people in desperate need. These projects include the construction of a solar-powered water well in Nigeria and a community water and sanitation project in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The charity is committed to these projects and making a real difference to the people who use them.
Water is essential to human life, yet many communities in Africa lack access to safe and clean water. The burden of collecting water falls disproportionately on women and girls who spend an average of six hours a day walking 3.7 miles to collect water for their families. This daily routine can have a significant impact on their health, education and economic opportunities.
The success of the charity work and ongoing efforts would not be possible without the support of donors who use the Hope Spring eCards platform to send Christmas cards. The platform offers a wide range of Christmas cards, including personalised and animated eCards with all proceeds going towards funding the charity’s projects in Africa. The platform has been instrumental in supporting Hope Spring’s mission of clean and safe drinking water in Countries that need it the most.
“We are grateful for the support we have received so far, and we remain committed to our mission of providing access to clean water to people in Africa,” said Temi Odurinde, the founder of Hope Spring. “Our ongoing projects in Nigeria will help us reach more people in need, and we encourage everyone to support our cause by using our eCards platform.”
Hope Spring has made it easy for people to send Christmas eCards and support their cause. To do so, individuals can visit the charity eCard site and select from a wide range of eCards. Alternatively, supporters can visit the charity Christmas eCards page directly to access the platform. Donors can choose to send personalised or animated eCards and make a donation towards providing clean water to people in Africa.
