oice assistants like Siri and Alexa have become helpful if not essential parts of managing my day-to-day routines and activities. I often find new uses the apps have integrated that add to the ‘one less thing’ approach to simplifying on organizing my life. For example, Alexa’s Start My Day function automates routines like turning on the lights, giving me a current traffic update along my morning route, various news updates and even adjusts the temperature on different floors of our home. Lately, I’ve discovered new ways to interact with various voice assistants using my Lucyd Lyte bluetooth glasses.

On our morning walks, checking in with news updates and podcasts are as simple as asking Siri to find them. I can also drop in on my Alexa Show in our kitchen or in one of our various rooms to check in on our daughter to make sure she’s getting ready for school. This time is also a great time to update on things like package delivery status and my calendar updates for the coming day. Like most people, I’m overwhelmed by all of the available content and the voice assistants know what I’ve listened to and can drop me in where I left off no matter which device I was using. All of these activities can be accomplished while still connected to the morning sounds around me with Lucyd’s open-ear listening capability. Also, when paired with my Apple Watch, I can leave my phone behind as well.

We all know some of the great things we can do with personal assistants like Alexa and Siri… like checking the sky above you for current flights to see where those people are headed or asking Siri to call you Big Poppa from now on 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Lucyd enhanced glasses add some new opportunities, especially when your hands are occupied with other tasks like riding a bike, gardening or maybe kayaking. Here are some examples from my good friend Ted Rubin:

The bottom line, Lucyd Glasses make voice assistants even more accessible and efficient while leaving you free to enjoy your day no matter what you’re doing.
