The goal at MÜV™ Medical Cannabis Dispensary isn’t being the first. It’s to provide the best medical marijuana products to Florida patients. For us, that started with Wana edibles.

Wana Brands is one of the best producers of marijuana edibles – just ask MÜV Patients, who rave about the texture, taste and effects of the pectin-based gummy edible.

The #1 Edible

Wana Brands was one of the first makers of infused products in Colorado, dating back to 2010. That’s 10 years of infused products! Since its inception, the goal at Wana has always been to produce the best medical marijuana edibles available on the market. For Wana, that started with a pectin base.

Pectin is a fruit-based alternative to gelatin that not only renders the Soft Chews vegan and gluten-free, but allows stability to the edible itself. The Soft Chews remain solid in temperatures up to 175°F – necessary for Colorado summers, and imperative for Florida year-round.

Soft Chews are infused with distillate during the cooking process to ensure homogeneity of cannabinoids. In simpler terms, the THC and/or CBD (depending on formulation) is evenly distributed throughout each Soft Chew. This allows newcomers to the edible consumption pathway to cut a 10 mg piece in half and know for certain they are consuming a 5 mg dose, or even in four pieces to achieve a 2.5 mg dose. And the infusing process doesn’t stop there. Wana has learned that you can’t underestimate the value of terpenes.

Did You Say Terpenes? In Marijuana Edibles?

Yes, you read that correctly. Instead of relying solely on major cannabinoids THC and CBD to provide the effects patients seek, Wana Brands has created their own blend of terpenes to enhance the marijuana edibles medicating experience. These terpenes mimic the profile of classic indica, sativa and hybrid strains and provides the synergistic effect known as the entourage effect – or the theory that medical marijuana is most therapeutic when more components of the plant are present.

The cannabis industry, with the support of limited research, is discovering that terpenes drive the strain-specific effects patients seek. Cutting-edge Wana Brands developed a proprietary blend of terpenes to induce targeted effects in the categories patients are most familiar with.

Sativa Cannabis Soft Chew Edibles

Sativa Wana edibles are described as providing uplifting and energizing effects, ideal for daytime use. This is achieved with a host of terpenes, including limonene, known for its mood-enhancing and uplifting effects, and alpha-pinene, an anti-anxiety and memory-enhancing terpene.

Indica Cannabis Soft Chew Edibles

Indica Wana edibles provide deeply relaxing effects, ideal for nighttime use, according to MÜV Patients. Indica or sedating effects are replicated with the use of multiple terpenes, including myrcene and it’s relaxing, anti-inflammatory properties and linalool, a terpene known for its pain-relieving, anti-anxiety and relaxing effects.

Hybrid Cannabis Soft Chew Edibles

Hybrid Wana edibles provide an overall sense of balance, according to MÜVers. The effects are achieved with a combination of terpenes, including uplifting limonene, relaxing linalool, and beta-caryophyllene, which has shown to be an aid in stress, anxiety and pain relief.

What Are The Soft Chew Flavors?

At MÜV, these categories will be showcased in:

Wana Strawberry Lemonade And Yuzu Hybrid Edibles

THC and CBD bring a host of benefits when consumed together and, the more CBD, the less the psychoactive effects. Too, THC and CBD are able to synergistically work together to provide more therapeutic benefits. MÜV and Wana recognized the need for these ratio edibles, crafting them to fit in the hybrid category.

Yuzu, an exotic Asian fruit, is the flavor that showcases the 2:1 ratio edible. Yuzu tastes of citrus, with intensely sweet and soft sour notes. Each piece houses 20 mg of CBD and 10 mg THC, with a total of 200 mg CBD and 100 mg THC per package.

As with Yuzu, Strawberry Lemonade cannabis soft chews fall into the hybrid category. This refreshing flavor truly is like drinking a glass of strawberry lemonade in gummy form. Sweet and delicious, each piece measures at 10mg CBD and 10 mg THC, with 100 mg of each per package.

Wana Mango Sativa Edibles

Mango Soft Chew edibles provide a burst of juicy flavor with each dose. Soft chews measure 10 mg of THC per piece, with uplifting and happy effects. The edible is crafted with terpenes limonene and alpha-pinene, two mood enhancing compounds.

Wana Blueberry And Grape Indica Edibles

Blueberry has been a staple in Florida medicine cabinets, for good reason. The edible lulls patients to sleep, according to reviewers like p****3 –

“I primarily use this chew strain about an hour before PM sleep. I have a bad back problem and most of the time don’t sleep well, 2-3 hours. Since taking this I’m sleeping heavier and about 4-6 hours.”

Sweet Grape is now joining Blueberry. The flavor is the second indica soft chews option, and like Blueberry measure 10 mg of THC per piece, 100 mg per package.

Wana Green Apple And Watermelon Hybrid Edibles

Juicy Watermelon provides balanced and calming effects, according to patients like reviewer w****5:

“I eat these daily. They calm my anxiety…Eating 1 you feel it in the background, eat 2 and you get a body and mind high. Best tasting chews I have had.”

Terpenes limonene and linalool guide effects in fruit-forward Watermelon, and as of February 2022, Green Apple.

The tart new fruity soft chew is reminiscent of the sour candies of childhood’s past – if you haven’t seen your sour pucker face in years, this soft chew option will bring it back. Like Watermelon, Green Apple provides 10 mg of THC per piece and 100 mg per package.

Why Wana?

MÜV is committed to bringing consistent alternative medicine to Florida Patients. Wana, too, is dedicated to consistency. The edible products were lab tested before it was a requirement in Colorado to ensure quality, consistent products (sound familiar? MÜV has conducted in-house and third-party testing since its inception!).

Research and development are at the heart of both of our companies, with the prime example being Wana’s search for the perfect pectin base – the company tested 20 different types of pectin to achieve the ideal texture for Soft Chews. Again, the use of pectin renders Soft Chews both vegan and gluten-free, with added bonuses of pectin being more easily digested when compared to gelatin and more stable in higher temperatures.

Speaking of ingredients, Wana uses all-natural ingredients every step of the way. Natural sugars are the sweetener of choice as opposed to sorbitol, which acts as a laxative in high quantities. Mineral oil, commonly used to keep gummies from sticking together, is never used as the ingredient also functions as a laxative in high doses.

What Will Wana Soft Chews Look Like At MÜV?

As a Florida medical marijuana patient, you probably know that the Department of Health sets the rules and regulations for MMTCs (or Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers). To ensure marijuana edibles do not appeal to children, the DOH has dictated certain rules to MMTCs.

All four Wana Soft Chews formulations will be a soft yellow in color. Unlike other medical cannabis markets, edibles in Florida cannot have any added color. For this reason, it is imperative that patients store their Wana Soft Chews marijuana edibles in the containers they arrive in so as to differentiate between the indica/sativa/hybrid formulations.

All edibles, including Wana Soft Chews, will be packaged within a package. The outer container will be opaque white with the product dosing information and will not depict the edibles in any way. Inside the container, the edibles themselves will be housed in opaque white packaging with the THC warning symbol on it.

The outer packaging, produced by Calyx Containers, are rather special. They were born from the idea that cannabis edibles packaging needs to be better. Take a medicated chocolate bar for example. The chocolate bar typically comes in the same style wrapper as a candy bar you would pick up at the store: paper, plastic, not resealable, and made to eat the entire bar then and there. But most patients do not eat an entire medicated chocolate bar in one session.

Calyx Containers, literally named after the small piece of the cannabis plant that protects the bud (get it? Calyx protects the flower on the cannabis plant, Calyx Containers protects your cannabis meds!), were produced to be resealable, smell-proof and airtight, no matter how many times you open the container. And forget the child-resistant mechanisms requiring you to line up the arrows just so, or press with just the right amount of pressure and twist at the same time. Instead, with Calyx, simply push the two sides marked “Pinch here” with your dominant hand, grip the entire cap with your non-dominant, and push the cap off and away from you. It pops right off!

Another added bonus with Calyx – they are made from recycled materials and can be recycled themselves. There’s never a need to feel guilty when recycling isn’t an option – Calyx Containers are designed to degrade in landfills at a faster rate than other waste.

What Should Florida Patients Know About Marijuana Edibles?

Edibles are a great solution for patients that require a smoke-free delivery of cannabinoids. Of note, however, is the conversion of cannabinoids. When orally ingested, THC converts to 11-hydroxy-THC, which is five times more psychoactive than THC. Newcomers to edibles will want to consume a 2.5-5 mg dose to start.

Consuming an edible with a meal helps to hasten the onset of effects, particularly when the meal is based in healthy fats – THC is fat-soluble, and therefore breaks down more quickly with a meal. Keeping MÜV CBD Cannabis Tincture on-hand during an edibles dosing is always recommended, as it may counteract any uncomfortable effects.
