Druid has been name a “Top 5 Pre-Launch Start-Up”

This recognition comes from Collective Hustle.

Here at Druid we are working on a growing system that will leverage technology to grow better, healthier crops year- round, no matter the conditions. With one of these systems in place in every city, we have the ability to bring fresh, local, organic crops to every area, especially areas that have massive amounts of food insecurity.

According to the USDA, food insecurity in North Carolina is higher than the national average; in every state that surrounds us the number is near or below that national average. (source: https://www.wfae.org/post/wfaeats-why-are-people-hungry-charlotte )

What is food insecurity? Food insecurity is defined as a lack of access, at times, to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members, and limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate foods.

Collective Hustle is Charlotte investor & startup coalition looking to improve the Queen City’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Focusing on inclusion and by offering an exclusive network, our goal is to have current leaders proactively invite new members into our community, engaging and inviting female or minority leaders to the network to become more involved. One of our key missions is to broaden the Charlotte entrepreneurial network by proactively inviting female and minority entrepreneurs and investors to events. Our events are invite-only to ensure our network remains lucrative and tight-knit. Those who request an invitation should be a future or current an investor or founder.
