a. If she decides to accept, she doesn’t have to show everyone immediately, so she gets privacy.

b. She doesn’t have to be self conscious about her ring if someone else with a huge stone passes her with her nose in the air.

c. If she gets mad at you and wants to throw the ring in your face over some fight involving, say, oatmeal, she won’t be able to without incurring severe injury to herself, allowing the cooling of tempers before anything drastic occurs.

There are also several disadvantages to the belly button engagement ring. Among them:

d. If she doesn’t already have a pierced belly button, accepting the proposal will probably be painful and will most likely require the services of a professional body piercer.

e. It will be difficult to propose in public with a belly button engagement ring for the same reason, though on the upside, you’ll know she’s the right girl if she puts it on then and there, assuming she already has her belly button pierced. If not, stay away.

3) Engagement diamond-tipped brass knuckles for the secret agent girlfriend. If your woman is a heavily armed stealth assassin, she’ll need some diamond tipped brass knuckles for sure. These should be easily custom made, and will definitely leave a mark on her work as she’s written up in the clandestine annals of history as the first to successfully terminate a target with a jewel bestudded weapon. She’ll also love you if said weapon actually helps save her life by getting her out of yet another seriously sticky situation somewhere in Iran or something.

4) Radioactive engagement ring. Radioactivity can be harmful, but it can also be harmless, depending on the radioactivity being discussed. There is alpha decay, which is the shooting off of a helium nucleus, which is harmless, and then there’s beta and gamma decay, which can kill you. A safe engagement ring alternative if you want to take the radioactive route is Americium. This metal is artificially made in a lab, and radioactive to the point that it is always warm because it’s always shooting off alpha particles.
