Creative Thinking: Jump Start Your Brain
 by: Michael A. Jones

How to start thinking outside the box using "Jump Start Your Brain" by Doug Hall.

As the front cover says: "[Doug Hall is] an eccentric entrepreneur ..." This book is full of zany, 'off the wall' ideas. Out of it all, I found it does what it says, it really does jump start your brain into thinking outside the box. It also gives you a jump start in creative advertising.

Some critics have said the book is a little long! Personally, I enjoyed reading through the copious pages of extra material even if they were a little rambling.

Many examples are used from Doug's days with Proctor and Gamble and other companies which many will find quite fascinating.

Learn why Doug's idea of a children's toy called "Stinky" bombed and why his attempt to revolutionize the hot dog business with an item called "Sea Dogs" went the same way.

On the other hand see what made Lipton Originals iced tea so successful.

Other readers may want to go straight to the meat which starts on page 195.

There you will find a helpful index of 37 different brain programs which get your brain to somersault and connect in ways it has never done before

This section really will get you thinking outside the box!

#25 called Dr. Disecto Mutant Surgery is brilliant. Using a dice and numerous lists, new 'out of the box' connections are made from totally unrelated subjects. This is one of my favorites.

Starting on page 368 is another invaluable section, "The Ten Commandments of How to Turn Your Dreams into Reality" using motivation, persistence and belief.

So is it worth a place on your bookshelf? In my opinion, DEFINITELY YES! I have referred to this book often.

The chart of 37 brain programs alone can be worth your getting this book. It is guaranteed to get your creative juices flowing.
