If You Think You Can or Can't -- You're Right
 by: Mark Hendricks

Here's a little poem that I found many years ago that kept me going when times were tough, and still keeps me going when new challenges face me.

You will want to print it out and pin it up (or frame it and hang it) where you can readily see it each day.

Before you read it and print it out, a few things:

- I've included two versions, one for men and one for women, read the one for your gender

- Write out this poem in your own handwriting before you print it out to post it where you can see it

- You may want to post up the handwritten version too on top of the printed version

Now take your time reading the poem, it has a very powerful message that applies to every day and situation of your life.

The Man Who Thinks He Can!

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think you dare not, you don't.

If you like to win, but you think you can't,

It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost,

For out in the world we find,

Success begins with a fellow's will ---

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You've got to think high to rise,

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster man,

But sooner or later the man who wins

Is The Man Who Thinks He Can!

The Woman Who Thinks She Can!

If you think you are beaten, you are,

If you think you dare not, you don't.

If you like to win, but you think you can't,

It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost,

For out in the world we find,

Success begins with a woman's will ---

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You've got to think high to rise,

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster woman,

But sooner or later the woman who wins

Is The Woman Who Thinks She Can!

Now, write out the poem in your own handwriting with pen and paper so you will make a lasting impression on your mind.

Then, and only then, print a PDF file version out on paper to post it up (or frame it and hang it) where you will see it everyday.

You will also want to tack (or tape) your handwritten version to the printed version to remind you that these are YOUR words now.
