Virtual Prayer Groups Keep People Connected
 by: Leanna Adams

Many times in our culture the realm of religion and the world of science and technology can be at odds with one another. With Prayer Connectors, a prayer line that allows religious organizations to use a number for their prayer groups, science can actually enhance and update the time honored religious practice of group prayer. People already use the internet and cell phone for every other aspect of their life, and now those same mediums are being used to make people’s religious lives more accessible too. With a virtual prayer group, now even the busiest of people can find the time to elevate their spirits and connect through prayer.

Simple2Communicate, an Atlanta-area telecommunications company, has expanded its repertoire of audio and video telecommunication options to include what they refer to as Prayer Connectors, or in Atlanta, 404-222-PRAY. This prayer line allows religious organizations to use a 404 number for their prayer groups, obtain a pin for participants to connect with, and allow people to literally extend their voices to other people in the hospital, at home or otherwise unable to be at a specific place.

Scientifically and experientially, the power of prayer and especially group prayer has been proven effective again and again. However, the dictates of conflicting appointments, traffic tie-ups, personal obligations and other time demands can restrict any caring group from gathering to pray. Prayer Connectors is the solution. Costing less than $1 per week per participant to use this service, Simple2communicate is also quarterly tithing 10% of the flat rate charge to the Faith Based Organization of the subscriber’s choice.

According to Sanders McConnell, President of Simple2Communicate, “There is no limit to how much technology can improve our lives and increase our personal growth.” The company hopes to raise the consciousness of the world by making virtual prayer groups an accessible modern day alternative to physical visits to church and elevate the spirits and energies of believers everywhere.
