Grooming your Dog
Dogs happen to need some help from their owners nevertheless they take care of their grooming needs. Increase the length of time you brush the dog slowly step by step. While brushing you can investigate for plant debris and fleas by running your hands through your dog’s fur down to the skin. If you find dark specks which are flea droppings on skin, your dog is full of them so you should treat your dog immediately.If you find rice-like debris during brushing the hair on and around the tail then probably your dog has worms and it has to go for a check up by your veterinarian to get the proper medication. Dogs have also dental problems. You’d better to keep your dog's teeth in good shape if you want to avoid high costs for veterinary treatments. You can do this by brushing dogs teeth every day with a child's toothbrush, or you can also use a finger toothbrush especially designed for pets. With toothpaste you should be more careful- use only these labelled for pets because human toothpaste could be toxic. There is one more option you can use for brushing, that is rawhide chew to gnaw on-it keeps teeth and gums healthy. It is not necessary to do everything everyday. Check ears once a week and nails once a month. During investigation of your dog's ears if you notice coffee-ground-like specks inside, then your dog probably has ear mites. Check dog's nails to be sure they have not grown too long once a month at least if your dog walks frequently on sidewalks because there is a risk your dog to develop physical problems Clip your dog's nails the proper way.
