WhyTo - Before You Start your Own Internet Business

Hundreds of self-proclaimed Internet marketing gurus are happy to sell you thousands of ebooks, ecourses, videos, seminars, and subscriptions to membership sites. You can sell your own products, sell affiliate products, or sell on eBay.

If you are thinking about starting your own online business, finding how to information is not the problem. You decide which one is for you, and follow the steps. Everyone has WhyTos and WhyNotTos. Your WhyTo may be that you need money. Your WhyNotTo could be that you are too tired after work to take on a new business. Which will win? Depends on how bad your needs are versus your excuses. Some surface WhyTos:

* want enough money to shove your day job

* tax advantages of having your own corporation or LLC

* starting an online business is fast and easy compared to a traditional small business

* you want to make sure your kids have the best education by home schooling and running an Internet business

* you are really working a 12 hour day with commutes and you want to be paid what you are worth

Surface WhyTos might get you started, but eventually the WhyNotTos creep in. Nothing happens in a vacuum. WhyNotTos are powerful.

* It's easier to give in to your spouse's demands for attention than to boot up the computer and get in two hours of marketing before bedtime.

* It's easier to catch a nap in front of the TV after dinner than to create new emails for your autoresponder.

* It's easier play with the kids than to begin writing your own ebooks and reports.

What you have to understand before you begin a business on the Internet is your own personal, core WhyTos. Your reasons have to be more powerful than any WhyNotTo your lazy inner self will come up with. Core WhyTos are deeper. Rewards:

* freedom to work and earn a nice living from anywhere in the world - your job is no longer tied to geography

* PC version of "deus ex machina" - god from the machine - letting technology set you free

* knowing in your heart that if you succeed in online business, you will be as free and secure as an individual can be who is not dependent on any one company or job or career for income

We all have dreams. I love to travel freely - my WhyTo. A full time income would mean that I could travel the world at will as I did 35 years ago in Peace Corps days. It would be tempting to move and not leave a forwarding address. Most affiliate checks can be sent direct deposit to the bank or to your PayPal account.

You WhyNotTos are more powerful than you imagine. That's why you are reading this article. You must search your innermost being to discover the WhyTos that will not permit you to fail.
