Bum Marketing Method - Promotion of Products We Don't Already Own  by: David Bocock If you spend anytime in Internet marketing formulas, you will come across the following question more than once: "Should I promote a product I have not tried or purchased myself?" The answer is no, and I'll explain to you why. The great thing about the internet is that you can get a lot of information about a product before you buy it. That said, I can't think of another product besides Travis' Magic of Making Up that gives you a free copy of the program after sell one of his books. Most owners of the product you will be selling as an affiliate want you to read their system so you feel good promoting it. I never recommend selling something I myself have not bought. However, I will do a review site that lists three or four products and I may have only bought one or two of the products. Which, of course when I write my review I will say something such as, "Products one and two were great! (whatever my opinion of the products is) I haven't had the chance to try products three and four but I have scoured the Internet for unbiased reviews and this is how they rank" That way I'm not lying, I'm only commenting on the products that I have used myself. Studies show that on a review site over 95% of sales come from the top two recommended programs anyways. Never lie about a product just to sell it, or worse yet, make up results from using the product. Not only is this morally wrong, it's illegal. It's not going to get you very far if you want to pirate other people's information or products!
