Because of this fire incident, a big part of the asphalt road was damaged causing all four lanes to be closed down. There were no reported injuries in this accident. Due to these series of fire-related incidents, the city of Tuscaloosa formed the Fire Prevention Bureau to develop and implement policies and programs that will lessen serious damages due to fires. The Fire Prevention Bureau has been conducting fire and safety inspections of residential and commercial properties. They have also made it a point to oversee new constructions and designs to prevent potential fires from happening. This group has implemented mandatory fire drills once a month in all schools within the city. It is a requirement for all students and faculty members to participate in the fire drill. Instead of practicing how to evacuate the premises quickly, the group promotes an orderly evacuation instead. All students and faculty members are expected to know the protocol when an unexpected fire drill starts. We will notice that the city of Tuscaloosa has been making an effort to safeguard its residents and infrastructures from fires. Even if some incidents have led to blazing fires, the local government is still striving to find solutions and preventive measures to make sure that these fires do not escalate any further.
