Water Car...Ready Set GO!
On 1st June 2010 Steve Schappert, founder of the BIOS Organisation, told Just4theplanet.com that he would be taking an epic journey in his car, starting 13th June this year. This is obviously not that interesting; why would we report such a banal story we hear you ask? Well Steve’s car will be travelling, not by the power of the oil giants, but by the power of water. Just4theplanet are hoping to “Skype” an interview with Steve whilst he is on his travels so that we can transmit it on our site for all to see. Without much more than clean underwear and $427, the plan is to drive cross country in a 72 Mustang convertible, hydrogen-hybrid. The theory is that the unit creates hydrogen on demand by breaking down water at the molecular level, feeding the hydrogen into the carburettor along with gas. The journey ultimately is looking to unlock the secret of making a car run completely on water. There is a plan to hold a press conference after every 150 miles with updates on the progress of this amazing journey of epic proportions. They Hydrogen system was donated by the manufacturer of the journey and these units are available online from BIOS Organisation at www.bioswatercar.com There is an effort to get Steve (picture bottom right) on the Late Show with Dave Letterman, if you go to http://watercarmovie.com/index.htm you will see the link on the left hand side of the page, please join thousands of people around the world supporting this environmental trial of excellence. For more information on how you can help, support and sponsor this trip, please go to http://watercarmovie.com/friendsform.htm We promise to keep you all updated on the story that is without doubt the ultimate in sustainability.
