The Oil Change Sticker: A Low Cost And Effective Sales Tool.
One of the most valuable sales tools in the oil change business is the “oil change sticker”. This clear little piece of static cling plastic has helped businesses sell their oil change services by effectively creating customer loyalty and return business. The oil change service provider upon completion of an oil change normally places an oil change sticker in the top corner of the windshield. The sticker serves as a subtle reminder of when to get our oil changed, the brand used and may even offer a discount on the next oil change. The clear cling static sticker is effective because it is in front of the driver, unobtrusive, yet noticeable every time the driver gets in their vehicle. One of the first companies to adopt oil change stickers in their modern format was Amoco Oil over 25 years ago. They had their reservations, feeling that a window sticker would not be as effective as their traditional methods of reminding customers to change their oil.
